Paper feels right

I've spent all week ruminating on a design project. The parameters have been established. It needs to feature a violin, be somehow mid 20th century, and appeal to adults and children alike. But I haven't been sure exactly what direction to take it in. Printmaking does not feel right for this one. Neither does pen or pencil. Computer, even less so. I knew eventually something would click. And on this sunny day sitting in the Harvest Workroom watching Beci Orpin work her magic with a pair of scissors, a day book ended by marvelling at Emily Green's lovely brooches and tiding away Otto's Eric Carle Alphabet flash cards. It came to me: it will be paper. Paper feels right.

  1. A pity it wasn't a bassoon and late 20th channeling early 20th (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpoizq-jjxs). Nonetheless a lovely set of images.
Thanks for the cds and congrats on the job.

  2. Peter and the wolf! This is great. Ah, the bassoon. It's pretty fine, isn't it?
Glad your parcel arrived. x Anna
