Birthday Books

Boy was I spoilt this birthday. Three beautiful books arrived, two in person (Ed Rusha, SPACES by Frankie Magazine) and one arrived by mail all the way from Kyoto (Japanese diy stationary). I flipped through them lazily last night in no rush. Hello books, I thought, welcome to Casa Zagala. SPACES has some great interiors though it did make me worry for bunting. I mean, nothing says Indie Folk quite as loudly these days, does it? Still, I have to admit to coveting a few of the homes and their contents. The best idea? I've lamented elsewhere the demise of indoor plants (my own, and more generally). This photo from artist Matthew Gallois' living room however lifted my already sky high spirits. And all you need are milk crates and a warehouse!
