At the moment my collaborator and I are researching stationary. We are dreaming up a range, exchanging ideas, discussing colours, shapes, tone, style, texture, finish and conducting market research. Did you know birds and flowers are the cards that sell in droves? It's not such a surprise, once you know, but it gave me pause for thought. I hadn't figured on heading in that direction. But then is it wise to ignore this little nugget out of hand? Birds. Right away Clemens Habicht's collages of birds fashioned from old LPs came to mind. I think they are very fetching.
