She makes it look so easy

Sometimes it’s difficult to know what makes you look twice at something. I think it was the bird. It’s just not where you expect it to be, there in the lower right hand corner. After the bird, the pointed toes caught my attention, followed by the balloon. How could I have missed it! This little man is airborne. Like many of Spanish graphic designer Blanca Gomez's illustrations it combines simplicity, a repetition of form and a winning sense of whimsy. She makes it look so easy.
